The Alaska Department of Transportation is a huge resource site for both Alaska
residents and visitors. The site has an enormous amount of information on current
projects, past projects and future projects. It also has a listing and summary
about every government focus group that is related to the Alaskan Transportation
Department such as civil rights office, aviation, TRAAK program and much more.
The site has a lot of good information but one of the most interesting and
useful tools on the site is its 511.Alaska.gov link on the home page. The next
series of pages are geared towards giving the user up to date reports on traffic
and road conditions through out the state of Alaska. The site will give the
name of the street, highway or intersection along with a description of the
problem.
